An assistant to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has been namedregional manager and counsel for the Property Casualty InsurersAssociation of America in the Sunshine State.

G. Donovan Brown, most recently an associate at Foley &Lardner, takes on the government relations role for the insuranceindustry trade association.

|

At Foley & Lardner, Brown counseled and represented clientson matters pending before the Florida legislature and stateexecutive agencies, specifically the Florida Office of InsuranceRegulation and the Florida Department of Financial Services.

|

He was previously an associate at Akerman Senterfitt.Before his legal career, Brown served as a specialassistant to Gov. Jeb Bush.

Brown was named to Florida Trend's 2009 Legal Elite as anup-and-coming attorney. He is a graduate of theUniversity of Florida's Levin College of Law and also earned abachelor's degree in business administration from Florida.
