CPCU Society Appoints Ten New Chapter Governors

They Will Provide Critical Liaison Function

The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society has appointed 10 new chapter governors who will fulfill a vital liaison role between the society’s leaders and the officers of its many chapters. Each of the new appointees will serve for a term of three years. They were chosen by the board upon recommendation of its nominating committee. They join 20 other society members serving staggered terms as chapter governors.

“Our 146 chapters are the heart and soul of our organization,” says 2011-2012 Society President and Chairman Steve McElhiney, CPCU, MBA, ARe, AIAF. “And the chapter governors are the key figures in assisting the chapters in carrying out the broad sweep of programs, including educational innovations, technological advances, membership growth, community involvement, and so much more, that are central to the society’s ambitious agenda.”
