StoneRiver announced it has filed four patents for technology and processes used in the company's Stream solution set.

|

Property/casualty insurance carriers use StoneRiver Stream's core systems for all lines of business to achieve growth and service objectives. The four patents cover:

|
  • The semantic model that supports communication for different insurance software components. The model describes the Stream database model and the composition of Stream domain components;
  • The novel approach used for the configurability of Stream components;
  • The advanced intelligent workflow capabilities within Stream, and
  • The entire Stream solution set as a whole, as a suite of insurance services with an integrated user interface.

"Insurers need to operate at peak efficiency as they compete and grow," says Gary Sherne, president, StoneRiver. "That's why our Stream solution set needed to be a significant improvement over existing insurance automation on the market. These patents will protect our investment, and in turn, the investment of carriers using the Stream solution set."
