Prima Solutions announces the release of Prima Re, an insurance application entirely built using the ACORD Information Model. This implementation demonstrates the importance of the ACORD Information Model as the standard reference for new insurance and reinsurance systems.
"The ACORD Information Model defines all major insurance concepts across the industry and how these concepts relate. It plays a central role in the ACORD Framework, a series of five interrelated models used to develop consistent standards regardless of type, geography or line of business," says Shane McCullough, chief enterprise architect for ACORD.
Prima Re is Prima's new reinsurance management system, a Web-based application conceived for reinsurance departments in an insurance company to manage all reinsurance related activities. Prima Re also leverages the ACORD RLC messages for integration.
