|The Chubb Corporation announced that Kathleen M. Tierney willsucceed Andrew A. McElwee Jr. as chief operating officer of ChubbPersonal Insurance, effective immediately.
|Mr. McElwee will assist in the transition before retiring onDec. 31 after a 25-year career at Chubb.
|Ms. Tierney was most recently senior vice president and easternterritory manager for Chubb Specialty Insurance, where she wasresponsible for underwriting, service and talent management forprofessional liability lines. She joined Chubb in 1990 as a suretytrainee.
|Mr. McElwee joined Chubb in 1985 and has served as executivevice president, international field operations.
