Daytona Beach, Fla.-based insurance broker Brown & Brown Inc. named J. Scott Penny regional president.
Mr. Penny was promoted from regional executive vice president, a position he has held since 2002. He will be responsible for oversight of certain retail profit center operations in Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio and Washington. He also oversees the operations of Axiom Re Inc. in Florida and North Carolina.
