World Insurance Forum is listing dealing with global climatechange, insurance regulation, and economic and politicalinstability as topics for its next meeting to be held inBermuda.

The session running from March 14-16 in Tuckers Point Hotel andSpa will air those topics during four CEO panels over the two daysof the event for the international (re)insurance industry.

Potential costs and opportunities for the insurance industryfrom climate change following the Copenhagen summit will be a topicas well as embedding risk management.

Geneva Association Managing Director Patrick Liedtkem, whoseorganization is a think-tank and research institution supported bythe insurance industry, will be featured as a keynote speaker, WIFsaid.

Panels in addition to CEOs will include academics, economistsand regulators from various venues.

Michael Butt, WIF honorary chairman and chairman of Axis CapitalLtd., said, "Top executives of many leading Bermuda companies willbe present, in speaking capacities and as delegates, which is to beexpected as the WIF was created by the industry for the industry,and the Island is a significant presence in the globalmarketplace."

Neill Currie, WIF Advisory Board chairman and CEO ofRenaissanceRe Ltd. said, "The CEO panel has been the best attendedsession at each previous WIF and in acknowledgement we haveintroduced four such panels to provide in-depth discussions andcomprehensive access to industry leadership for delegates and themedia."

Robin Spencer-Arscott, WIF Operating Committee chairman, saidopening day of the Forum will be addressed by Paula Cox, Bermudadeputy premier and minister of finance.

WIF said it has opened general registration on its Web site for(re)insurance executives, corporate insurance buyers, brokers,analysts, regulators and invited media representatives.
