PMA Cos. has promoted Michael McMahon to senior vice presidentof Risk Control Services. For more than 40 years, McMahon hasserved in a number of leadership roles with PMA Cos. includingregional loss prevention manager, regional operations manager andvice president of Risk Control Services.

As the leader of PMA Cos. Risk Control department for nearly 2decades, McMahon and his staff have focused on delivering highlyeffective risk control services for our clients and setting the barin the industry with the introduction of new innovative programsand service offerings. New offerings have included the creation ofspecialized risk control teams who have extensive expertise in keyindustries, on-line cost-effective training for our busy clients,and the launch of PMA Websource, a comprehensive online portal ofsafety and risk management resources.

In his new role as senior vice president of Risk ControlServices, McMahon will provide the leadership to ensure that riskcotrol continues to be a key service area that helps differentiatePMA Cos. in a competitive marketplace. In addition to leading therisk control function for the PMA Insurance Group, McMahon willcontinue to provide support and direction to the risk controlservice operations of PMA Management Corp., PMA Management Corp. ofNew England and Midlands Management Corp.

McMahon started his risk control career with PMA in 1969. Hereceived a bachelor's degree in business administration fromPennsylvania State University.
