The Florida 2010 regular legislative session convenes March 2and is scheduled to adjourn on April 30. Insurance-related debatethis year is expected to center on windstorm mitigation discounts,public adjusters and homeowners' claims, the property insurancemarket, health-care reform, and insurance fraud in auto coverages.Drawing particular attention again this year will be the “ConsumerChoice” property insurance bill sponsored by Sen. Michael S.Bennett (R-Bradenton) and Rep. Bill Proctor (R-St. Augustine). Thefollowing legislators have been appointed to the insurancecommittees in the House and Senate.
