John Bishop, president and CEO of Motorists Mutual InsuranceCompany, was elected to serve as 2010 chairman of the GriffithInsurance Education Foundation.

The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is an educationalnonprofit that provides risk management and insurance (RMI)education programs and resources for K-12 teachers and students,institutions of higher education, and public policymakers.

Mr. Bishop said, "Over 200 teachers and guidance counselorsattended our Insurance Education Institutes, 31 Congressional staffattended our first Federal insurance education seminar series, andwe completed our first full year conducting the National Conferenceof Insurance Legislators Institute for Insurance Policy, aninsurance knowledge certification program for statelegislators."

He added that, "The foundation is sound financially and we'relooking forward to a great year ahead, continuing to expand ourprograms and broadening our geographic base."

Other officers elected were Eschol Curl, vice president,operations, State Farm Insurance Companies, as vice chairman;Michael Fusselbaugh, senior vice president, Hartford Steam Boiler,as secretary; and, Dana Rudmose, principal, Rudmose & Noller,Financial Advisors, as treasurer.
