Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) said theCincinnati Insurance Companies property casualty group has joinedthe organization.

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies are operating companies ofpublicly-traded Cincinnati Financial Corporation. The groupprovides personal and commercial coverages marketed throughindependent insurance agencies in 36 states, PCI said.

The group ranks among the 25 largest U.S. property and casualtyinsurers based on net premiums written.

"PCI's ability to be a strong advocate for the insuranceindustry, its thought leadership, and national footprint in everystate were important factors in our decision to join thisassociation," said Kenneth W. Stecher, president and chiefexecutive officer of Cincinnati Insurance Companies.

PCI says it has more than 1,000 members and the largest tradeassociation political action committee representing the propertyand casualty industry.
