|The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America'sAgents Council for Technology (ACT) said it will host its third ina series of free Web seminars on e-mail security.
|The Alexandria, Va.-based association announced the seminar,titled "Protecting Independent Agent Clients with Secure E-mailUsing TLS (Transport Layer Security)," will be held from1:30-to-2:30 p.m. EDT on Aug. 18.
|The seminar will be moderated by Jeff Yates, ACT's executivedirector. Attendees will hear from Jim Rogers, director ofDistribution Technology for The Hartford, and Tim Woodcock,president of Courtesy Computers.
|Mr. Rogers will explain the risks of unsecured e-mail and howTLS works. Mr. Woodcock will also go over the more technical sideof implementing TLS on Microsoft Exchange servers.
