The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America'sAgents Council for Technology (ACT) said it will host its third ina series of free Web seminars on e-mail security.

The Alexandria, Va.-based association announced the seminar,titled "Protecting Independent Agent Clients with Secure E-mailUsing TLS (Transport Layer Security)," will be held from1:30-to-2:30 p.m. EDT on Aug. 18.

The seminar will be moderated by Jeff Yates, ACT's executivedirector. Attendees will hear from Jim Rogers, director ofDistribution Technology for The Hartford, and Tim Woodcock,president of Courtesy Computers.

Mr. Rogers will explain the risks of unsecured e-mail and howTLS works. Mr. Woodcock will also go over the more technical sideof implementing TLS on Microsoft Exchange servers.
