|Christopher F. Murphy has been named chief financial officer forRoseland, N.J.-based wholesale insurance broker Crump Group Inc.'scommercial insurance services division, the company said.
|He replaces Patrick O'Brien, who is retiring after 22 years withthe company, said Crump.
|Mr. Murphy spent most of his career with Marsh & McLennanCompanies, beginning in 1979 with Guy Carpenter, MMC's reinsurancebrokerage business. He held a number of financial andadministrative positions culminating in the role of chief financialofficer for Marsh Inc., and as a member of its board of directorsand executive committee, before retiring in 2007.
|For the past year and a half, Mr. Murphy has worked as anindependent consultant assisting and advising insurance brokerageoperations on financial issues.
