Humana has opened a 37,000-square-foot Humana Cares nationaloperations and service center at the Carillon business park in St.Petersburg. The center will initially employ 275 associates, withplans to expand its on-site staff to more than 325 by the end of2009. Humana is the state's largest Medicare health-benefitscompany, with more than 400,000 members statewide. Humana Caresclients are primarily Medicare beneficiaries with chronic healthconditions.
