Zurich Financial Services Group has named Saad Mered, 42, a former executive with American International Group, as its chief executive officer Middle East.
|The Zurich, Switzerland-based firm said Mr. Mered, a U.S. citizen, will be based in Dubai and will report to Geoff Riddell, CEO Asia Pacific and Middle East region.
|Mr. Mered joins Zurich from AIG where he held various senior positions during his long tenure with the company, from financial lines underwriting and running AIG's Egypt operations to holding a global role in the implementation of their small business strategy, Zurich said.
