Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon announced todaythat his department is making available revised online auto andhomeowners insurance rate comparison guides.
|The information can be found on the department Web site atwww.ldi.state.la.us.
|"The rate guides provide premium quotes from top carriers ofauto and homeowners insurance in the state," said Mr. Donelon in astatement.
|According to the announcement, automobile quotes reflect variousrating situations such as driver and vehicle age, location anddriving record. The homeowners quotes reflect rating situationssuch as location and the age and price of the home.
|"It is important to remember that these rates are only forcomparison purposes," Mr. Donelon added. He said the examples givenmay not precisely reflect individual circumstances, and a companynot listed in the guide may be able to offer the best coverage andservice needed.
