Thomas C. Ramsey, Liberty International chairman and president,will retire in mid 2009 and will be replaced by David H. Long, nowwith Liberty's commercial unit, the company said.

Mr. Ramey has headed Liberty International since 1998. Mr. Longis currently president of Liberty International's commercialinsurance business unit.

J. Paul Condren, currently president for personal lines, willbecome president of commercial lines, and Timothy M. Sweeney, whois now executive vice president of distribution for personal lines,will become president of personal lines.
