Dennis D. Dammerman, a former General Electric executive, hasbeen elected a director on the American International Group Incboard, AIG announced.

Mr. Dammerman is currently board chairman of Discover FinancialServices, lead director of Capmark Financial Group Inc., and adirector of BlackRock Inc.

He retired in 2005 as GE vice chairman of the board andexecutive officer and as a member of the corporate executiveoffice.

Mr. Dammerman spent 38 years at GE, including serving on the GEboard since 1994, as chairman and chief executive officer of GECapital Services since 1998, and as a director of GE CapitalServices for 16 years.
