The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society said it haslaunched a Web site to provide consumers with information onmultiple lines of insurance, including cost-saving and safetytips.

Located at insurancehelp.cpcusociety.org, the site will offerinformation on insurance for automobiles, homes, small businessesand other lines of coverage, CPCU said.

Content will include articles created by the CPCU Society, aswell as information on lowering car insurance costs; tips for teenand senior drivers; fire, flood and lightning safety; and waterdamage prevention. New subject matter will be added in the future,said the Society.

Marvin Kelly, president of the CPCU Society, said, “Now at oneconvenient, easily navigable Web site, [consumers] can master thebasics about their property-casualty insurance coverage, includingguides to understanding their auto and homeowners policies, aglossary of terms, and tips on filing insurance claims. With thisnew tool, consumers can empower themselves in a short period oftime.”
