Aon Middle East, a division of Chicago-based insurance brokerAon Corp., said it has received authorization to operate in Qatarby the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA).

The move follows Aon's opening of its regional headquarters inthe Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) last month.

The authorization adds to Aon's network of operations in theMiddle East including operational offices in the UAE (Dubai,Sharjah, Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman and itsdeveloping offices in Kuwait.
