Florida's insurance commissioner Kevin McCarty ordered a stay of the suspension of Allstate's ability to write new business.
He made this decision because Allstate submitted an affidavit certifying that it has provided all the material that was demanded as part of an investigation of Allstate's rate-setting and business practices in Florida.
The number of documents were reportedly requested is 825,000 . According to McCarty's office, only 36,000 pages had been produced nearly four months after the subpoena was issued.
