Aon Re Global said it has acquired Peruvian reinsurance brokerCosegur Re. Terms of the deal were not released.

Aon Re, a unit of Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp., saidthe deal would offer clients in Peru greater access to a worldwidereinsurance market and other services.

The deal was closed May 2, Aon said.

Cosegur Re founders Jose Antonio Cadarso and Juan Diego Cadarsojoined Aon Re Peru as chief executive officer and chief operatingofficer, respectively.

Aon Re Peru currently employs 11 people and the acquisition willincrease the number to about 15. As the largest reinsurance brokerin the region, Aon Re Latin America has offices in 10 countries and230 employees.
