Claims News Service, March 18, 4:31 p.m. EST– Internationalresearch and consulting firm, The Customer Respect Group, hasrecently released findings on their first quarter 2008 OnlineCustomer Respect Study of Auto Insurance Industry Web sites.

The study examined several auto insurer web sites using criteriaset to measure corporate performance from the online customer'sperspective. A Customer Respect Index is provided for each company,which according to the firm is a qualitative and quantitativein-depth analysis and independent measure of a customer'sexperience when they interact using the Internet.

Insurance industry web sites had an average CRI score of 5.5 ona ten-point scale, a slight upswing from the industry's 2007 score.This year's rating is shows that the insurance industry isperforming on average and is on par with the advancements made inother industries.
