Crump Group Inc. said it has named John Jennings president ofits wholesale property-casualty insurance services division toreplace Glenn Hargrove, who left the firm to pursue otherinterests.

The Roseland, N.J.-based company said Mr. Jennings was presidentof Tri-City Insurance Brokers, formerly part of BISYS, and was akey member of the senior leadership team of the recently mergedcommercial insurance operations of Crump.

Prior to joining Tri-City in 1993, Mr. Jennings held variouspositions in the retail insurance industry.

Mr. Jennings will report to John Howard, president and CEO ofCrump Group Inc.

Crump was a Dallas-based p-c wholesaler with Mr. Hargrove as itschief executive officer until its private-equity owner, J.C.Flowers, acquired the wholesale business of BISYS in May. Thatacquisition remade Crump into the number-one wholesaler with 2,700employees and expanded the range of lines to life andretirement.

Three months after the deal was completed, Mr. Howard, who waspresident of BISYS Life Insurance Services, was named president andCEO of Crump. Mr. Hargrove remained president and CEO of the p-cdivision.
