New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal JusticeDirector Gregory A. Paw have reported that Ramsey Naylor and CarrieMartin of Trenton have been indicted for alleged insurancefraud.

According to Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Greta Gooden Brown, thetwo were indicted on charges of third degree insurance fraud andattempted theft by deception. An investigation revealed that Naylorsubmitted a fraudulent insurance claim to Rider Insurance Companyfor the theft of a Yamaha motorcycle between Sept. 21, 2003 andJan. 23, 2004.

The office of the attorney general reported that the claimfalsely reported that the motorcycle was stolen after an insurancepolicy had been purchased for it. It is alleged that themotorcycle, in fact, was stolen before it was covered by aninsurance policy, and Martin supposedly provided information sheknew was false in support of the claim.

The duo faces a maximum punishment of five years in state prisonand a criminal fine of $15,000.
