Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited said Bernard deHaldevang has been appointed head of political risk insurance.
|Mr. de Haldevang, the company said, will report directly toMatthew Yeldham, Aspen's head of international insurance.
|Aspen said it anticipates that gross written premium from thisnew line of business will be in the region of $70 million afterthree years, subject to market conditions.
|Mr. de Haldevang joins Aspen from Atrium Underwriting, Lloyd'sof London, where he was a member of the Syndicate Management Groupand Class Underwriter for Financial and Political Risks.
|Aspen provides reinsurance and insurance coverage to clients invarious domestic and global markets through wholly ownedsubsidiaries and offices in Bermuda, France, the United States, theUnited Kingdom and Switzerland.
