The Boca Raton-based National Insurance Underwriters is expanding the availability of its new homeowners' insurance program, Homegard, into Florida. The new program is designed to provide all-perils coverage for hard-to-insure properties. Specifically, the product features guaranteed issue dwelling coverage up to $750,000, no credit scoring, covers owner-occupied as well as tenant-occupied dwellings, and covers vacant or seasonal-use dwellings. Homegard is currently available in 44 other states and has been assigned an A- rating by A.M. Best.
