Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty recently announced that he is promoting Audrey Brown as the new chief of staff for the Office of Insurance Regulation. Since June, Brown has served as the deputy chief of staff in charge of overseeing Cabinet affairs, market research, and as the liaison to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Previously, Brown worked for AvMed Health Plans in Gainesville as the company's manager of contract compliance and administration. She also formerly worked for the state as the OIR's cabinet and legislative affairs liaison, and the director of the Safe Homes for Florida Families program.
