Bermuda-based specialty insurer and reinsurer Argo GroupInternational Holdings, Ltd. said it has promoted two executives tohead operations at two of its U.S. units.

Argo said it has named Mike Warfield president of ColonyInsurance, an excess and surplus lines insurer. He succeeds DalePilkington, who was named president of Argo Group's U.S. operationslast month.

Michael Arledge was named president of Argo Group's SelectMarkets segment effective Jan. 1. He will replace Thomas Johns, whoplans to retire next year. Until that time, Mr. Johns will focus onemerging opportunities in Argo Group's U.S. operations and reportto Mr. Pilkington, the company said.

Argo said Mr. Warfield joined Colony Insurance in July 2005 andin the last two years has been responsible for business developmentwith particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, new productdevelopment, alternative risk, and business integration.

Mr. Arledge's industry experience includes more than 24 years ofspecialization in the public entity property and casualty insurancesector. He has been responsible for all operational activities ofTrident as well as serving as a member of the Argonaut GroupOperating Committee and as a board member for Great CentralInsurance Company.
