Charlotte, N.C.-based wholesale broker AmWINS Group Inc. said ithas acquired London American General Agency Inc. for an undisclosedamount.
|Based in San Diego, London American is a full-service managinggeneral agent and program underwriter for the commercialtransportation business with a special focus on limousines,truckers and transportation.
|The broker said London American provides a West Coasttransportation underwriting presence and complements its existingtransportation business, formerly operated under the name SeaboardUnderwriters Inc.
|The Seaboard transportation business has been combined withLondon American under the name AmWINS Transportation UnderwritersInc.
