Pitney Bowes MapInfo has recently integrated its locationintelligence technology into i-aXs, an online risk managementplatform developed by risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter& Company, LLC.
|The addition to i-aXs will allow insurance companies to analyzetheir portfolio exposures and losses to help them make moreinformed reinsurance purchasing decisions.
|According to Pitney Bowes MapInfo, i-aXs enables reinsuranceproviders to gain access to and utilize exposure information aboutnatural hazard risks, such as hurricanes, tornados, hail storms, orman-made risks, such as terrorism from satellite data, GPS, andcatastrophe models. These tools aim to help carriers betterevaluate their risk exposures and select the appropriatereinsurance coverage.
