Munich Reinsurance America Inc. has announced that Anthony J.Kuczinski will take over as chairman and chief executive officerJan. 1, 2008.
|Mr. Kuczinski will succeed John P. Phelan, who is set to retireon Dec. 31 after six years of service as chairman and CEO ofMunich.
|Mr. Kuczinski previously held the position of president ofMunich Re America's specialty markets division. According to thecompany, his division continually increased its contributions tothe value of the group's operations.
|Dr. Nikolaus von Bomhard, chief executive officer of Munich Re,said Mr. Kuczinski's appointment “signals the continuation of ourprofit-oriented focus at Munich Re America and our commitment tothe U.S. market.”
