Proxix Solutions has developed a new storm-surge model thatgenerates storm-surge inundation polygons for all counties alongthe Gulf and Atlantic Coasts. Accounting for changes in coastalelevations and barriers to inland surge-water movement, the modelproduces risk polygons identifying five zones of storm-surge risk, from low to extreme.
|Integrating the storm-surge model into Proxix's automatedsolution called CATUM, underwriters input an address or latitudeand longitude and receive a detailed risk score for a specificproperty or location. With CATUM's highly accurate parcel-levelgeocoding technology, carriers can outperform rule of thumb ratingtechniques that affect their profitability.
|In addition to its coastal risk module, CATUM also evaluatesother hazard risks such as wildfires, and damaging winds.www.proxix.com.
