Atlanta, Ga.-based Catlin US has established an inland marineunderwriting unit that will be headquartered in Catlin's New Yorkoffice, the parent company, Catlin Group Ltd. announced.
|The firm said the inland marine unit will be staffed by athree-member underwriting team headed by Frank Oleskiewicz. Theteam will underwrite various classes of inland marine businessconsisting primarily of builder risk, contractors and mobileequipment, warehouse/distribution, and goods in transit.
|Mr. Oleskiewicz was formerly with General Reinsurance in NewYork and Philadelphia, where he served in various roles over a14-year career, the company said.
|Catlin US underwrites specialty classes of property and casualtyinsurance. The firm has 16 offices throughout the UnitedStates.
