Cooper Gay (Holdings) Ltd., the London brokerage group,announced it has taken a shareholding in Reinsurance.com.ar, areinsurance broker based in Miami and Buenos Aires.
|The firm said that Guillermo Pastore, a market practitioner withmore than 20 years insurance and reinsurance experience, is chiefexecutive officer of the operation.
|It added that Mr. Pastore, who founded Reinsurance.com.ar lastyear, was previously chief operating officer of EW Blanch Argentinaand Benfield Greig Argentina.
|Toby Esser, Cooper Gay Group CEO, said he welcomed Mr. Pastoreand his team in the Cooper Gay network.
|“Our stated strategy is to expand in our chosen territories byworking with companies that share our passion and businessphilosophies. Reinsurance.com.ar is such an organization,” said Mr.Esser.
|Cooper Gay said Reinsurance.com.ar will complement the firm'sexisting Latin American network of offices in Brazil, Chile,Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador.
