The National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds said on May1 it will launch an information technology newsletter titledTechnology Briefing.

Targets for the new publication are guaranty associationmanagers, their IT staff, receivers, IT contractors and others inthe insolvency industry, the group said.

Indianapolis-based NCIGF said the free, quarterly publicationwill feature articles focusing on a range of technology topics ofinterest to the insolvency sector, including security, disasterrecovery, business continuity, claims systems and E-Discovery.

“Technology Briefing will bring readers staff-written andreader-submitted news, features, technology reviews and usefulhow-to articles,” said Tom Wagenhauser, editor of the newpublication.

The NCIGF's Technology Briefing, Mr. Wagenhauser said, willprovide the latest news on “hot technology-related topics, issuesand products that are important to members of the insolvencyindustry, virtually all of whom look to technology to deliverefficiencies and economy in the day-to-day administration ofinsolvencies.”

He explained, “In the same way that NCIGF's Insolvency Briefingbrings to our members the latest on insolvencies and relatedissues, our new Technology Briefing will be a forum through whichour members and insolvency partners can read the latesttech-related news and developments.”
