The Western States Surplus Lines Conference will be held June19-23 in Scottsdale, Ariz., the Arizona Surplus Lines Associationannounced.

Arizona Insurance Director Christina Urias is scheduled toaddress the conference and Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano has alsobeen invited to speak, the group said.

Conference events include a panel discussion withrepresentatives from the surplus lines insurers XL Excess &Surplus Lines, Colony Insurance Company, Scottsdale InsuranceCompany, Nautilus Insurance Company and Markel SouthwestUnderwriters, the association said.

For entertainment, the group said, a Beatles tribute band willperform following an opening reception.

Western States Conference is rotated annually among the westernsurplus lines associations. Those involved in hosting the meetingsare the Surplus Lines Associations of Arizona, California,Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
