Miami insurance agent Larry Willis has been elected chairman ofPIA Services, Inc., a for-profit subsidiary of the NationalAssociation of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).

Willis is a veteran of more than 20 years in the insuranceindustry and is a principal in the Annette Willis Agency, adistinguished insurance firm with four locations in Miami.

“Larry Willis is perfectly suited to serve in this importantposition,” said PIA National executive vice president & CEOLeonard Brevik. “He will be an excellent leader of thiscorporation, which is dedicated to providing agents across thecountry with products and services they can offer to their clientsand also use to better manage their agencies.”

Willis's experience in the insurance community is vast. He hasserved as a national director, executive board member, and a memberof the national communications committee of the NationalAssociation of Professional Insurance Agents. Willis was also aboard member and past president of PIA of Florida, its affiliate.Over the years he has received many awards. Willis was honored asthe PIA of Florida Agent of the Year in 2000, the PIA NationalAgent of the Year in 2001, and was twice recognized as chairman ofthe year for his work on the PIA of Florida's LegislativeCommittee. Willis was named Agent of the Year by the South FloridaPIA in 1998.
