The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America said that Cleveland-based Westfield Insurance is the latest carrier to join the Trusted Choice program.
In business for more than 158 years, Westfield Insurance markets its products through more than 1,200 independent insurance agencies. The company has more than $3.1 billion in assets and holds an "A (Excellent)" rating from A.M. Best. It has more than 2,500 employees; 1,900 in Ohio. The carrier provides commercial and personal insurance to customers in 17 states and surety services in 28 states.
Trusted Choice, developed by the Alexandria, Va.-based IIABA, is aimed at benefiting independent agencies and brokerage firms, offering choice of companies, customization of policies and advocacy support. The program represents nearly 6,800 independent insurance agencies, brokerage firms, their branch locations and 41 leading insurance companies, including Westfield Insurance.
