SunGard has announced the launch of iWORKS FrontTier 6.5, a newversion of SunGard's policy administration solution thatincorporates advances in integration, report generation, Webenablement, business process modeling, and service-orientedarchitecture.

FrontTier is an end-to-end solution for property/casualty policyadministration, including quotes, claims processing, billing, andaccounting. FrontTier 6.5 builds on a set of features andfunctionality to provide a greater degree of interoperabilitythrough a Web-services architecture and offers rapid implementationcapabilities, helping improve speed to market.

FrontTier 6.5 provides a new front-end layout design thateliminates the need for a team of developers to design and codecustom front-end screens. Combined with user level APIs foraccessing business rules, business analysts now are empowered todevelop Web portals for their business needs. Through FrontTier'sdevelopment model, users can benefit from shortened developmentcycles, which can reduce the costs typically associated with customsystem application projects.
