The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America haspartnered with Novato, Calif.-based Fireman's Fund InsuranceCompany to offer agents errors and omissions coverage.

The Alexandria, Va.-based association said the nationallyendorsed program will provide liability coverage for agents--forexample, protecting agents in the event they fail to provide aspecific coverage or provide any coverage at all.

The program is beginning this month with a pilot program in fivestates. It will last approximately 60 days with a phased rollout toother states in this year's fourth quarter.

"We're pleased to introduce this program. Agents are faced withincreasingly complex insurance products and services to offer totheir policyholders, and we believe this coverage will be extremelybeneficial," said Robert A. Rusbuldt, IIABA chief executiveofficer.
