Rock musician Ted Nugent might be famous for his “Cat ScratchFever,” but these days he's complaining of a different kind ofhealth problem: severe immune system problems from exposure to moldand mildew in his home.

According to the Jackson Citizen Patriot, Nugent recently fileda lawsuit against Homeowners Insurance Company seeking more than $1million in damages. Reporter Steven Hepker wrote that at issue wasthe insurance company's claim that it does not insure against moldor mildew. The attorney for Nugent, Bill Dobreff, also is reportedto have said that water damage was further exacerbated from theinvestigative process, which he said was due to the fact that wetmaterials were allowed to remain in the house. Nugent is well knownfor his hunting practices and claimed in the article that his manyanimal mounts would need to be professionally cleaned ordiscarded.

Warner Insurance Adjusters, a provider of independent claimservices, was also named in the suit because Homeowners hadsubcontracted the work to them. An attorney for Warner stated thathe expected the company to be removed from the suit due to the factthat the dispute boiled down to a policy issue, not aclaim-adjusting issue.
