Here's one pro footfall player who didn't have a game plan. ALubbuck County, Texas, grand jury recently indicted ShaheedRichardson for workers' compensation fraud for allegedly collecting$1,534 in undeserved benefits.
|According to Texas Mutual Insurance Company, Richardson reporteda job-related injury while playing professional arena football forthe Amarillo Dusters. His doctor placed him in off-work status, andTexas Mutual began paying him workers' compensation incomebenefits.
|Meanwhile, Texas Mutual uncovered evidence suggesting Richardsonhad played professional arena football in a different league whilehe collected the benefits. Texas law requires injured workers tocontact their workers' compensation insurance carrier when theyreturn to work.
