John Q. Doyle, president of American Home Assurance Company, asubsidiary of American International Group Inc., has been namedpresident and chief executive officer of National Union FireInsurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., AIG said.

The company said Mr. Doyle, 42, has also been named AIG seniorvice president, domestic general insurance.

AIG also announced that Christopher A. Maleno, president ofAmerican Home's excess casualty unit, was named executive vicepresident and chief operating officer of American Home.

Mr. Doyle, who will remain in his current position as presidentof American Home, will assume responsibility for National Union,AIG's principal provider of management and professional liabilityproducts and services.

He succeeds John W. Keogh, who has left the company to take aposition with Ace Ltd.

Mr. Doyle joined National Union in 1986. He assumed thepresidency of American Home in 2002, overseeing the domesticbrokerage group's excess casualty, workers' compensation andextended warranty divisions.

Mr. Maleno, 39, served as president of AIG excess casualty, adivision of American Home. He joined AIG in 1995.
