Audrey Samers, a veteran regulator who served as New YorkInsurance Department's deputy superintendent for the past fiveyears, is leaving her state post for a position with a privatecarrier.

A spokesman for the department, Mike Barry, said Ms. Samers isjoining the New York office of Ace Group Holdings as associategeneral counsel and deputy global compliance officer.

Ms. Samers will join Ace next month, he said. No replacement hasbeen named at this time. She has served with the department fornearly eight years, Mr. Barry said.
