State Auto Financial Corporation said it has named Robert P.Restrepo Jr., 55, as chairman and chief executive officer.
|The company said Mr. Restrepo was also elected to the sameposition at the Columbus, Ohio-based subsidiary State AutomobileMutual Insurance Company and named a member of the board ofdirectors at both companies.
|He assumed his new positions Friday.
|Mr. Restrepo replaces Robert H. Moone, 62, who will retire inMay of 2006. Mr. Moone will remain as president until March 3, andas an employee of the company until his retirement.
|Mr. Restrepo's experience includes senior executive roles atAetna, Travelers, Hanover and most recently with Main StreetAmerica Group in Jacksonville, Fla. He has also served on a numberof industry and community boards, including as chairman of theAmerican Insurance Association in 2003.
|State Auto is a regional property-casualty insurer writingpersonal and commercial lines business.
