G. Thompson Hutton has resigned as a director of Montpelier ReHoldings, Ltd., following his appointment as president and chiefexecutive officer of Hamilton, Bermuda-based White Mountains ReGroup, Ltd.
|The announcement of Mr. Hutton's appointment at White Mountainwas made last Monday. He will oversee the company's globalreinsurance operations.
|Mr. Hutton, 50, spent the past five years providing managementoversight and transaction services to private equity investors andtheir portfolio companies as a consultant, active board member andinvestor, first as a venture partner with Trident Capital and thenas managing partner of Thompson Hutton, LLC.
|From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Hutton served as president and chiefexecutive officer of Risk Management Solutions, a provider ofcatastrophe risk modeling software and services for the insuranceand reinsurance industries throughout the world. Currently, heremains a director on the board at Safeco.
