Assurex Global Partners commercial insurance brokerage group hasnamed Paul J. Hering chairman, succeeding Gregory S. Belton, who iscompleting a two-year term in the post.

Mr. Belton is president at the insurance brokerage firm HunterKeilty Muntz & Beatty Ltd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He willcontinue to serve on the Assurex board as chairman emeritus.

Mr. Hering is the managing principal and chief executive officerof Barney & Barney LLC in San Diego, which has been affiliatedwith Columbus, Ohio-based Assurex Global since 1984.

Assurex Global also announced the election of three new boardmembers to three-year terms.

They are:

o Matt Coleman, president, strategy & business development,Van Gilder Insurance Corp., Denver.

oFrank Mikan, president, The HDH Group Inc., Pittsburgh.

oDavid Lee Rodriguez, director, international division, PulsarGlobal Insurance Brokers Srl, Milan, Italy.
