In partnership with Identity Theft 911, the Chubb Group ofInsurance Companies is offering a new service to help homeownercustomers recover or recreate missing personal identification anddocumentation after disasters or other mishaps. In addition tocomplimentary access to the new Identity Disaster Response 911service, homeowners can obtain assistance from Identity Theft 911if they become the targets of identity thieves.

“This new service is especially important following a hurricane,terrorist attack, or other catastrophe when individuals may havequickly evacuated their homes, potentially leaving behind someforms of identification, bank account numbers, and variousinsurance policies,” said Peter Spicer, vice president, Chubb &Son. “In situations like these, people cannot even begin the roadto recovery without valid identification and other personalrecords.”

Identity Disaster Response 911 was created to help disastervictims obtain emergency identity authentication and access totheir investment and bank accounts. Identity Theft 911 will workwith government agencies and financial institutions to replacecustomers' identification documents, such as birth certificates,driver licenses, passports, and Social Security cards, as well aschecks and credit/debit cards.

The company also will help Chubb customers resolve credit andother problems in the event of identity theft or fraud. The firmwill assign a personal advocate to guide a victim through theprocess of identity theft recovery.
