As CSRs Of The Year

For the first time, the National Outstanding CSR of the YearAward ended in a tie, so there are two winners for 2005, accordingto the National Alliance for Insurance Education &Research.

The 2005 award will be shared by Miranda M. Wescott and Misty L.Kriskovich. Ms. Wescott is a personal account manager working withspecial personal lines account coverages at Chandler-Frates &Reitz Inc. in Tulsa, Okla. Ms. Kriskovich manages the commercialinsurance department for Hobson Insurance in Hobson, Mont.

The panel of judges--which included Sam Friedman,editor-in-chief of National Underwriter--evaluated the finalistsbased on individual contributions to the insurance community andtheir essays on ">>The Four Most Constructive Things aProducer Can Do Now to Help CSRs."

Ms. Wescott and Ms. Kriskovich each receive a cash award of$1,000, a gold and diamond lapel pin, and will have their namesinscribed on a sculpture on permanent display at National Allianceheadquarters in Austin, Texas. A scholarship will be awarded toboth of their employers for any National Alliance program.

The three other national finalists were: CathyM. Cassetta, BB&T/Iler Wall & ShonterInsurance Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla; Diane L.Hodas, Loesel Schaaf Insurance Agency Inc., Erie,Pa; and Carol "Cricket" Mitchell, Premier Insurance in Twin Falls,Idaho. They each receive a gold and garnet lapel pin.
